PA Landscape Group, Inc.
Office Display Area Our display garden has resulted as an effort to allow our customers the opportunity to experience at anytime what our company can do for them. As with everyone in the industry, we participated in Home Shows, Garden Shows, etc. in the past but felt as though our leads were not very good and many of them were out of our area. With that being said, we decided to host our own home shows every February. For our home shows, we converted a large portion of our warehouse into a full display featuring paver walls, water features, lighting, plants, etc. As part of the show, we would invite all of our subcontractors to set up a booth in different parts of our display. For this event, we would invite not only our customers, but also customers of our different subcontractors, which allowed us the opportunity to receive immediate feedback from qualified customers with no other competition. This method was extremely successful and provided us with enough work for the year. The downfall to this however, was the amount of time it took to set up and tear down, as well as the expense, even though our suppliers were very generous in giving product. After several meetings, the decision was made that we would build multiple permanent displays at different locations. Our largest display was built outside of our office building, which is the one we have included pictures for. Our other two locations, although smaller than the one at our office, also consist of unique landscaping and hardscaping. These displays are located at the owner's home and at the office of our pool installer that we work with. Since building our new facility in 2005, it was always the plan to plant as much of a variety of plant material around the building as possible. What it has become is a collaboration of ideas from our entire staff. The display at our office, as it can currently be viewed, was finished earlier in the year and was the location of our first "Grill-a-palooza" which took place in May. As with past events, we invited our subcontractors to participate in the event. Due to the high rate of success as a result of this event, we are currently planning additional events. Because this is a static display, anyone can view it day or night. Along with the events that we host, a further benefit of our display is the opportunity for local photographers to shoot outdoor pictures at our property. This cost us nothing, but the benefits could be huge. We may in the future allow other businesses or groups the use of our facilities. The permanent display also was made possible through the help of our suppliers. They all recognize the importance of having a display 365 days of the year. |
