In Memoriam: Glenn E. Hively

PLNA is saddened to learn of the passing of Glenn E. Hively on July 22.

Born on April 11, 1934, in York, Glenn was a dedicated husband, father, and a pillar of the local landscaping community.

For 42 years, Glenn owned and operated Hively Landscapes, formerly Hively Farm & Nursery, leaving a living legacy throughout York County and its surroundings. He took great pride in beautifying the area, famously noting the many trees he and his trusted workers planted. Known for his hardworking spirit, Glenn never shied away from a challenge – no job was too big or over the top. In his early years, he also farmed cattle and pigs, further demonstrating his commitment to hard work.
