Your PCH credential can come back to life — no exam required.

Life moves fast. Priorities shift. If your Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist (PCH) certification has lapsed, this is your moment to return to the community that values your expertise.

To celebrate the release of the updated PCH Manual, Third Edition and the refreshed PCH certification exam (coming soon), PLNA is offering a special, one-time pathway for previously certified PCHs to reactivate their credential.

Reactivate Now — No Exam Needed

From now through September 30, 2026, lapsed PCHs may recertify without retaking the exam. Simply submit the recertification fee:

  • $70 for PLNA members
  • $200 for non-members

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Must have been previously certified with a valid PCH ID number
  •  Recertification payment must be received by 9/30/26
  • 24 CEUs required by 9/30/28
  • Standard biennial recertification fees and requirements resume thereafter

How to Earn CEUs

  • Attend the PLNA Annual Conference
  • Participate in pre-approved events listed on the online calendar
  • Attend other industry programs that meet PCH continuing education guidelines

Updated PCH Manual Now Available

PLNA members can access the new manual online for FREE. Prefer a physical or portable version? Purchase the printed book or digital USB edition. Strengthen your knowledge — and your team’s — with the most current horticultural best practices.
